USMEF at Food Expo Qazaqstan 2022
The U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) took part in the 24th International Food Industry Exhibition FoodExpo Qazaqstan 2022, the largest food exhibition in the Central Asian region in Almaty, which was held in early November 2022.
More than 456 exhibiting companies from 36 countries of the world gathered at the exhibition.
Within the framework of the exhibition, a series of round tables was held on food security and the provision of high-quality agricultural products.
Meetings on the fields of the FoodExpo-Kazakhstan exhibition ensured the interaction of the Eurasian markets and the expansion of the business geography. As part of the program, a specialized seminar was held by experts from the Eurasian Bank for Reconstruction and Development on the topic “FMCG market trends in Eastern Europe - what was useful for Kazakhstani business to know (“Specialize or die”), as well as a practical lesson “New reality, instructions for survival: logistics, packaging, marketing.
The USMEF booth has become one of the central meeting places for representatives of the Kazakh agricultural industry, food importers, distributors, sales representatives, meetings with Christopher Bielecki, Agricultural Attaché at the US Embassy in Astana, representatives of the USDA in Astana and Almaty, to discuss the increase in market opportunities and prospects for expanding the US agricultural market.
As part of the rich business program of the exhibition, USMEF held two master classes on American beef from Almaty chef Dilshad Nisamov. At the MODE restaurant, in the HOREX Forum zone, exhibitors from all over Kazakhstan and other countries of Central Asia could be convinced of the high quality and excellent taste of American beef.
The chef Dilshad Nisamov showed how to cook Top Sirloin Butt Cap and Ribeye Choice roast beef and steaks.
The wine company Raimbek has become a partner of USMEF master classes on American beef at the HOREX Forum.
About 5,5 thousand professional visitors attended the FoodExpo Qazaqstan 2022 over three days of the International Trade show.
