The increase in gross livestock production in 2022 compared to 2021 by 2.6% is due to an increase in the number of cattle and poultry.

Such data is provided by the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic.

By the end of 2022, farms of all categories produced 248.3 thousand metric tons of meat (in slaughter weight), which is 5.7% more than the previous year and 12.2% more than in 2018.

In the total volume of meat produced (in terms of slaughter weight), 48.2% was beef, 30.6% – lamb, 12.3% – horse meat, 3.3% – pork, 5.5% – poultry meat and 0.1% – rabbit meat.
