This week, Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov met with the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan Majnun Mammadov, discussing potential opportunities to increase mutual trade.

According to Aidarbek Saparov, work is underway on an ongoing basis to lift veterinary restrictions bilaterally. In February 2023, veterinary certificates for the export of breeding and slaughtered cattle and cattle, finished meat products (canned food, sausages, etc.) to Azerbaijan were agreed. To expand the range of mutual trade, the Ministry of Agriculture will continue to work on the harmonization of veterinary and sanitary requirements for milk and dairy products, poultry meat and poultry products.
