Paraguay exported about 284,000 tons of beef this year
The National Animal Quality and Health Service (Senacsa) reported that from January to October of this year Paraguay managed to export more than 283,932 tons of beef.
Beef was the main article of the Paraguayan livestock, it accounted for 79% of the income from foreign trade. According to official data, between January and October of this year, this product brought in 1476.1 million US dollars, up 7.5% compared to 1372.9 million US dollars received in the same period last year.
As for volume, 283,932 tons of beef were exported in January-October 2022, which corresponds to a slight increase of 0.25% compared to 283,214 tons sold last year.
Finally, the Senacsa report indicates that there were 51 in total, being mostly the top five markets Chile, Russia, Brazil, Taiwan, and Israel. These countries purchased 87% of Paraguayan meat.
