USMEF participated in the UzFood 2026 Tashkent International Trade Show, Uzbekistan
USMEF participated in the 25th Anniversary International Exhibition on Food, Ingredients and Food Technologies – UzFood 2026, held at UzExpoCenter NEC Tashkent on April 1-3, 2026.
For 25 years, UzFood Tashkent has been one of Uzbekistan’s leading food industry exhibitions, hosting B2B and B2G meetings and showcasing food products as well as equipment, ingredients, packaging and production technologies.

UzFood 2026 set a record in exhibitor scale and geography: 413 companies from 30 countries participated. The exhibition covered 12,754 sq. m. and recorded more than 11,000 visits over three days, including 8,300 unique specialists from 38 countries and 13 regions of Uzbekistan.
A key highlight was the Retail Center, held on April 2, where major retailers and marketplaces –- including Korzinka.UZ, Makro Supermarket, Galmart, Green Apple, Baraka Market, The Mart, BIM, Fix Price, Wildberries, and Uzam Market –- conducted over 1,000 direct negotiations with suppliers and producers.
Within the UzFood framework, USMEF hosted a two-day U.S. Beef cooking and tasting on April 1-2 in the outdoor “UzFood Master Class” zone, jointly with equipment company The Thermoplan UZ, which provided technical support using Josper and Nieco machines for cooking beef burgers and steaks. Chef Alexei Surin (Unitex/The Thermoplan) and chef Sanjar Ganiev (Nukus 89) prepared and presented U.S. marbled beef and burgers, including chilled and frozen Ribeye and NY Strip steaks, as well as frozen U.S. Beef burgers.
At the USMEF booth (shared this year with USAPEEC), guests also sampled authentic U.S. Beef brisket pastrami, prepared by Uzbekistan chefs with U.S. experience according to traditional recipes.
Demna Dzirkvadze, agricultural specialist at the U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi (Georgia), attended UzFood 2026 and the U.S. Beef master classes. USMEF received a certificate of honor from Iteca Exhibitions, the organizer of UzFood, recognizing fruitful cooperation over 20 years.
