Korean Consumers Committed to U.S. Beef
In Korea, political turmoil, trade uncertainties and economic challenges have not slowed consumers’ appetite for American beef.

Through the first 10 months of 2025, U.S. beef exports to Korea are 3% higher in both volume (194,407 mt) and value ($1.85 billion) compared to the same period in 2024, and exports to Korea are expected to surpass $2 billion for the fifth consecutive year, accounting for nearly a third of Korea’s total beef consumption.
The sustained growth reflects U.S. industry efforts to build confidence in the safety of U.S. beef; a consumer survey from December 2025 shows more than 70% of respondents express confidence in the product’s safety, up three years in a row.
Support from the Beef Checkoff Program and USDA has played a critical role in these efforts.
