Wash hands with soap and water before cooking and always after touching raw meat.
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine Ground Beef, breadcrumbs, 1/2 cup ketchup, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, thyme, pepper and salt in a large bowl, mixing lightly but thoroughly.
2. Shape mixture into an 8 x 4-inch loaf. Place loaf on rack in a foil-lined broiler pan.
3. Bake in 350°F oven 40 to 50 minutes. Spread remaining 1/4 cup ketchup over meatloaf; bake an additional 5 minutes or until instant-read thermometer inserted into center registers 160°F.
4. Let stand 10 minutes before slicing.
Cook’s Tip: Cooking times are for fresh or thoroughly thawed ground beef. Ground beef should be cooked to an internal temperature of 160°F. Color is not a reliable indicator of ground beef doneness.
