U.S. Beef Featured at the U.S. Independence Day Reception in Baku, Azerbaijan
The U.S. Embassy in Baku marked the 250th anniversary of U.S. Independence with an official reception held on July 1, 2026.
As part of the nationwide celebrations in Azerbaijan, two of Baku’s best-known landmarks—the Baku Olympic Stadium and the Heydar Aliyev Center—were illuminated in the colors of the American flag.
The official reception brought together hundreds of guests, including Chargé d'Affaires Amy Carlon, Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Samir Sharifov, and representatives of the Azerbaijani government, diplomatic corps and business community.
USMEF, together with Gudfood, the importer of U.S. beef in Azerbaijan, partnered in the reception by providing U.S. beef steaks prepared on the grill by Azerbaijani chef Renat Novruzov.
Approximately 600 guests attended the reception and enjoyed U.S. beef steaks during the celebration.
