The first batch of Russian beef will arrive in China on April 7, 2020, Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko said during a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the government.

According to her, 8 containers of meat were shipped to China. She also added that exports to China will give a new impetus to the development of beef cattle breeding.

Negotiations on the supply of beef from Russia to China lasted several years.

According to Interfax, citing sources, the first batch of beef was sent to China by the Russian agricultural holding Miratorg.
