8.4% of all proceeds from export fall to the share of meat and meat product exports. But Mongolia believes that it is not enough.

Let us remark that the production in sector of livestock breeding is increasing year after year. In 2017 production reached 3.7 trillion tugriks, having increased by 5.9% against previous year.

By the end of 2018 meat and meat products exports achieved 547 thousand tons, while meat exports increased by 1.9 times in comparison with previous year. Revenue from meat exports was $146.5 million. The volume of Mongolia meat exports began to grow, and the Mongolian producers need to work on value increase and on launch of organic meat brand.

"The government of Mongolia began to develop the policy aimed to improve the legal environment for the sphere of livestock production, to strengthen a business cycle, to assist to the economic growth, investments and exports", - the Deputy Prime Minister said.

The Deputy Mrime minister also said that the cattle livestock in the country is increasing, but at the same time pastures’ condition is becoming degraded, cases of cattle death have become frequent, cattle quality is becoming worse, animal diseases are spreading out, but despite of these factors, the livestock growth in the country is on an upward trend.
