Escherichia coli was found in four shipments of beef from a producer from Barnaul, delivered to Primorye, Prim.news reports.

The inspection was carried out by the Primorsk Interregional Veterinary Laboratory of the Rosselkhoznadzor. In each of the samples, experts found bacteria of the Escherichia coli group and an excess of the level of bacterial contamination by 300 times, which is a violation of the Technical Regulations "On the safety of meat and meat products."

According to experts, violations are caused by poor handling of equipment or improper storage and transportation of the product. The results were entered into the state information systems "Vesta" and "Cyrano" and transferred to the federal departments of the veterinary service.
