According to the forecast of the National Meat Company, meat exports from Russia in 2019 will amount to more than 300 thousand metric tons, and taking into account meat products - 350 thousand metric tons.

In the period from January to August 2019, the volume of meat export decreased slightly compared to the same period in 2018 and amounted to 190.8 thousand metric tons against 193.2 thousand metric tons.

The supply of poultry meat decreased by 8.2%, to 117.1 thousand metric tons (in 2018, 127.6 thousand metric tons). At the same time, beef export grew by 19.2% to 5.6 thousand metric tons, pork - by 11.2% to 60.4 thousand metric tons, lamb - by 16.7% to 7.6 thousand metric tons.

China is the largest importer of meat and poultry by-products from Russia. From January to October, 37 thousand metric tons of offal and carcass parts were exported to China by almost $ 85 million, by the end of the year, supplies could increase to $ 100 million, the federal center "Agroexport" predicts.
