At early July cattle population in Ukraine reduced by 4.6%, hog - by 5.3%, and numbers of chickens were 4.7% up. Cattle population in Ukraine as of July1, 2018 accounted about 3.98 million head (-4.6% y-o-y), the State Statistic Service reported.
Population of cows shrank by 3.5% to 2.04 million head.
Population of hogs reduced by 5.3% y-o-y to 6.46 million head, goats and sheep - 4.1% to 1.63 million head. Fowls numbers increased by 4.7% y-o-y and accounted 246.53 million head.
It was reported with reference to State Stat Service, cattle livestock in 2017 accounted 3.628 million head (- 1.5% against 2016). Hog population shrank by 8.2% to 6.12 million head, small cattle livestock grew by 0.1% to 1.316 million head, fowls - by 1.7% to 205,103 million head.
